Philly Native Todd Berman Joins PHLY Sports as GM, Bringing Two Decades of Local Sports Media Leadership

Philadelphia, PA — 9/17/25 — PHLY Sports today announced the appointment of Todd Berman as its new General Manager. A seasoned sports and media executive, Berman will oversee the network’s strategic direction, business operations, content, and audience growth.

Berman is no stranger to Philadelphia sports fans. A native of Bucks and Montgomery Counties, he has worked in Philadelphia digital media for the last twenty years. During his tenure leading digital for NBC Sports Philadelphia, he built the network’s online properties into the region’s largest sports media platforms, expanding into podcasts, streaming, and new formats that connected directly with fans.

Most recently, through his firm Tangerine Ventures, Berman has advised and supported high-growth sports and media startups, taking on leadership roles in digital innovation, regulated real-money gaming, and fan engagement. These roles broadened his expertise in building platforms that connect audiences across content, community, and new technology.
